Classical piano, pop, jazz, from beginners to advanced, for all ages. But experience tells me that child should be 6 y'ol or mature 5 y'ol to have successful private lessons.

I was formally trained in Classical piano in Japan, USA, and Europe. Obtain Master's Degree in piano performance and have 25 years of teaching experience.
I use Taubman technic in teaching which is physiologically natural way of playing that helps you to play difficult passages effortlessly and to prevent injury.

You will be playing the piano from the day 1 if you are beginner and have eye opening lesson if you are already advanced.

About Me

Noriko is an amazing piano teacher. Under her instruction, my son Benjamin, between the ages of seven and nine, was captivated by her humor and energy, motivated by her warmth and enthusiasm, and cultivated into a fine pianist by her expertise in and love of her craft. Still a performing pianist, with a Masters Degree of Music in Piano Performance, and having performed as an accompanist for opera singers in Tokyo, Japan, you could not ask for a better teacher than Noriko.

Noriko has been our daughter's piano teacher for the last 7 years. She has been fabulous. Our daughter had never touched a piano and she now plays Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, etc... Lesson Details

I use Piano adventure by Faber&Faber which contains main lesson, performance skill, technic and theory till late intermediate. During early training, students will learn all types of music including jazz style and pops. I also enforce ear training so students can hear musical details.

Then I proceed to Keith Snell series to learn more details of classical piano in all periods. I add Hanon, Czerny, and other detailed technic for formal training.

Fees are $120 per month for 30 min lesson per week, $160 per month for 45 min per week, and $200 per month for 1 hr per week. 1st consultation lesson is free as well as sibling discount. There is annual studio concert in November, twice a year for advanced students - November and May.
